I started coaching in 2004, after a childhood spent on-court playing competitively.

I always loved the on-court work.

But as time went on, I got frustrated that I wasn’t able to get more players joining my programme so I could grow my business and my income.

So, in 2014, after coaching for 10 years and getting my LTA Level 4 Senior Coach badge, I decided to try something new.

I retrained myself and took a consultancy job in the City of London.

Over the next 4 years I got promoted a few times and eventually I was managing a team of 20 and over $2.5m in annual revenue.

But I couldn’t stay away from tennis for too long.

In 2017 I set up the Tennis Business Academy with one specific goal in mind:

Take the learnings from my consultancy days to help tennis coaches (like myself) get more players on-court and earn more money.

I tried a bunch of things. Many of them worked. Many didn’t.

One strategy worked particularly well.

A specific kind of local lead generation to get high-intent prospects, and then combining that with a custom type of conversational follow-up.

I used it to drive hundreds of new sign-ups in less than 12 months to my own tennis coaching programme.

It worked great.

By the time I sold my half of the business to my partner, we had over 200 players playing weekly and paying a monthly fee. We had started with zero players 12 months earlier.

Over the last 5 years I’ve iterated, refined and systematized it into the “Get More Players, Fast” system.

I then used the same system to help lots of clients get more players for their own tennis coaching programmes.

In total, this system has helped drive 10,000+ new signs-ups which have generated over $1.1 mil in coaching fees - and growing every day.
